HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Hope all is well and I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have full launched my Danielle's Daily Decor website, as of today. Unfortunately, I've been giving half, sometimes more of my profits to ETSY. For instance, one of my repeat customers bought (2) items totaling $40 + fees + taxes + shipping costs. I received $21. I've lost thousands of dollars and actually never made a profit using ETSY. Now that I spend hours perfecting my designs, buying unique accents or my pieces, I absolutely refuse to just give my product away.

This is similar to how I started my personal training career. In the beginning, most trainers go to work at popular fitness gyms to establish their reputation and credibility. I did the same. The trainer only receives half of the revenue the generate and the gym gets the other half for letting you use their equipment and members. I opened my own personal training studio within six months.

Anyway, fast forward. It's been four years since I started creating my home decor & faux flower arrangements. During, this time many of you may have noticed that my designs have become more and more appealing. Well, in order to implement my visions, it costs a lot more for the supplies I use. For instance, instead of tying my mason jars with jute ($3.97 per roll), I now tie my own bow ties using designer ribbon. ($12 -$16 per 25ft roll)

I hope all of you will continue to be fans and consumers of my work. It truly brings me as much joy as my personal training career once did. Please check out my new website and feel free to leave feedback on how I can improve my products, marketing, shipping and price.
